Deciduous shrub native to Central Asia and the Mediterranean with an upright, bushy crown. Pubescent branches, leaves with small petioles and very fragrant. Produces light purple, fragrant flowers from August to September. Grows in all moderately fertile soils, preferring dry ones. Used alone, in groups, and for rock gardens.
