Shrub or small tree native to southern China. Leaves with 5-11 lobes, 50 cm wide, apical, evergreen, dark green. It blooms in autumn with 50 cm panicles of white flowers, followed by round berries. Requires permeable soils and regrows from the base if frost damages the aerial part.
