Tree native to tropical Africa. Evergreen pinnate leaves, asymmetrical bell-shaped flowers grouped together, scarlet red with a green throat. The woody fruits are very decorative. It must be grown in a greenhouse in climates that rarely drop below 13°C. If grown outdoors, it requires rich and fresh soils.
