Sesleria autumnalis BushOriginally from southern Europe but adapts well to a wide variety of climates and is certainly one of the best ground covering grasses. Lovely linear, deep yellow leaves with light, silvery-white flower spikes rising above them in spring, turning golden yellow when mature. Does not become unkempt, not even before wilting. Always evergreen, except for colder regions or the Alps. Excellent plant near the coast. Grows well in any type of soil.
