Conifer native to Japan, sometimes formed by multiple trunks, with a conical or irregular crown. Beautiful evergreen and fleshy needles, bright green and arranged in a radial pattern. Requires moist, light, well-drained, acidic or neutral soils. It suffers greatly from drought.
