Schinus terebinthifolius StandardOrigin: Latin America. Evergreen tree with upright branches and globular crown. Imparipinnate leaves made up of 7 pale green, ovate-lanceolate leaflets, 4-6cm long, 2-2.5cm wide. When rubbed the leaves smell of pepper, not as strong as Schinus molle. Flowers: they appear throughout the summer and most of autumn. Small, white, clustered in pendulous panicles up to 15cm long. Bright red fruit in thick clusters. Same growing requirements as Schinus molle.
