Sarcococca confusa
Shrub native to China with a dense crown and arching branches. Evergreen, bright green, oval leaves, 4-6 cm long. Blooms from January to March with cream-colored flowers grouped in clusters, later producing round reddish-black berries. Requires non-calcareous, moist but permeable and fertile soil. Used as ground cover or to form low hedges.
