Robinia pseudoacacia 'Umbraculifera' StandardOrigin: Austria. Deciduous tree which forms naturally a spherical crown without pruning, made up of numerous, dense, thornless branches. Leaves similar to Robinia pseudoacacia, but smaller. Does not flower. Grows well in calcareous soil. To keep the crown compact it can be pruned at the end of winter, even severely but without exaggerating.
