Quercus palustris
Tree native to the USA with a straight trunk, horizontal branches that droop in the lower part of the crown. Deciduous glossy green leaves that turn red-brown in winter, lobed, 7-15 cm long. The fruits are small, oily, and stubby acorns. Grows best in marshy and wet soils, but also thrives in garden soils. Used in avenues, parks, and large gardens.
