Plumbago auriculata BushOrigin: South Africa. Evergreen shrub with woody stems, sarmentose, semi-climbing. Elongate, pale green leaves. From June to October umbrella shaped inflorescences form at the ends of the branches, made up of sky-blue flowers with numerous blue anthers. It makes a beautiful weeping plant in a terracotta jar. Grows well in all types of soil providing it is permeable.
