Picea abies (Picea excelsa)
Columnar conifer with an upright trunk and sparse crown, native to Northern and Central Europe. Bright green, pointed needles, 1.5–2.5 cm long. The cones are cylindrical, light brown, 10–15 cm long, and pendulous. Grows in all fertile soils, tolerates limestone, widely used in forestry and as a Christmas tree.
