Palm native to India, China, and Sri Lanka, sometimes with a branched trunk. Leaves are 1 meter long, made up of opposite leaflets 20-25 cm long, thin and drooping. It is one of the smallest varieties, also grown in pots and planters, resistant to indoor environments but more demanding in terms of soil.
