Vigorous palm native to the Canary Islands, it can reach 20 meters in height and 1.5 meters in trunk diameter. Leaves are 5-6 meters long, made up of 200 pairs of pointed, bright green leaflets. It blooms in April with very small flowers gathered in hanging clusters longer than one meter. It fruits only in climates suitable for it with brown, oval fruits, 2.5 meters long. It is very resistant to the sea.
