Passiflora caerulea ClimberVery vigorous, quickly covers enormous areas, clinging to supports with its tendrils. Evergreen in hot climates, it flowers from summer to autumn. The flowers grow out of the leaf axils on slender stalks; they are white, tinged with pink, surmounted by a a crown of blue and purple stripes. Oval orange fruits follow, numerous and striking. Not very fussy about soil, it prefers nitrogen-poor terrain, to avoid excessive vegetation to the detriment of flowering.
