Myrtus communis
Shrub native to Mediterranean areas with a broad and spreading crown. Evergreen, oval and elongated leaves, bright green, very hard and aromatic. Axillary white-yellow flowers that appear from June to August. Produces small blackish and fleshy berries. Requires permeable and rich soil and full sun exposure. Tolerates well the sea and is used in groups in rock gardens and hedges.
