Myrsine africana
Shrub native to East Africa, the Azores, and the Himalayas with a dense, rounded, and ascending crown. Leaves are oval and elliptical, glossy green on top, dull underneath, evergreen. Blooms in May with copper-red flowers in groups of 3-6. Fruits are round, lilac on male plants, darker on female plants. Requires permeable and dry soil, used on terraces, in low hedges, and borders.
