Magnolia kobus
Shrub or small tree native to Japan with a crown that is initially conical, then rounded and wide. Oval leaves 15-20 cm long and 10 cm wide, green. Blooms abundantly before the leaves with flat white 6-petal flowers. Fruits in October with red cylindrical fruits that are very attractive. Grows in all soils that are not calcareous, dry, and shallow. Used alone or in groups in avenues and squares.
