Magnolia grandiflora 'Gallisoniensis'
Tree selected in France with a conical crown but that can be shaped into a pyramid with pruning. The evergreen leaves are oval or elongated, 12-15 cm long, dark green on top and brown underneath. Plants aged 9-10 years bloom from June to late summer with aromatic flowers 20-25 cm wide, formed by 3-12 white fleshy petals and yellow stamens in the center. The fruits are grouped in clusters of 10 cm, are red and oval, and contain a fragrant red flower. It grows in acidic, siliceous, and fresh soils. It is used in all gardens if pruned regularly, in parks and gardens if not maintained.
