Livistona australis PalmOrigin: Australia. Palm characterised by a slender, grey trunk which in its native country reaches a height of 20 meters. Long, thorny stalks bear glossy, dark green leaves, 1.5m long divided into many, linear lobes which are often arching at tips. Creamy white flowers grouped in long, inflorescences; fruit round, black. When young it is used in pots as an elegant house plant.
