Jacaranda mimosaefolia StandardOrigin: Bolivia, Argentina. Deciduous tree with beautiful bipennate leaves made up of numerous bright green leaflets similar to those of the Mimosa. Throughout spring it bears pyramidal panicles of purple-blue flowers which come into bloom on bare branches, followed by woody, discoidal pods. Requires fertile, moist, well drained soil.
