Shrub with woody branches and a dense crown. Deciduous oval or rounded leaves, serrated, tri- or epta-lobed, dark green with a grayish underside, dark red in autumn. It blooms in June-July with 15-20 cm long racemes of white flowers that last a long time. It requires rich and cool soil.
