Hydrangea quercifolia
Shrub native to the USA with woody branches and a dense crown. Deciduous oval or rounded serrated leaves, tri- or hepta-lobed, dark green with a grayish underside, dark red with orange hues in autumn. It blooms in June-July with upright racemes 10-15 cm long of white flowers that later take on pink shades. Requires rich, cool soil.
