Davidia involucrata
Tree native to China with alternate deciduous leaves with serrated edges, bright green. It blooms only when it reaches 8-10 years old in May-June with bright purple flowers surrounded by two white bracts. The fruits are edible in China, oval-shaped, up to 4 cm long and dark red in color. It has no soil requirements, although it prefers fertile, cool, and light soil. It is used both alone and together with other trees with different leaves.
