Conifer native to Italy with a dense, columnar crown and branches along the entire trunk. The evergreen scale-like leaves are blue-silver. It rarely flowers and fruits. Adapts well to both cold and warm climates, tolerates calcareous soils, grows well in others, and withstands pruning even if frequent but not too heavy.
