Corylus avellana 'Contorta Red Majestic'®
Cross between Corylus avellana “Contorta” and Corylus maxima “Purpurea” originated in Germany. From the first, it has twisted branches and catkins, but red in color; from the second, it takes the dark red deciduous leaves and reddish fruits. It is often used by florists for arrangements with flowers and fruits.
