Evergreen or deciduous conifer that can range from the size of a shrub (*C. atlantica* “Compacta”) to that of a large tree (*C. libani*), with an upright or weeping crown. The needles vary from green to yellow to steel blue. It generally prefers soils that are not too wet and climates that are not too cold. Its uses are diverse, including parks, gardens, and street plantings.
