Genus of evergreen shrubs and trees from Australia, very similar to our Myrtaceae. They grow well in the plains of central and southern Italy and in areas with a similar climate, while in colder climates they are grown in pots, kept sheltered and with little water in winter and watered abundantly in summer. They require well-drained, non-calcareous soil and tolerate pruning, drought, and seaside conditions well.
