Deciduous shrub native to China, with a dense crown made up of ascending main branches and horizontal offshoots. The flowers are small and light purple, the fruits remain from October to January, are dark blue in color, and are very ornamental. It adapts well to all types of soil and requires severe pruning at the end of winter to promote fruiting.
