Phyllostachys aurea
Bamboo native to China with culms 3 to 5 cm in diameter, green at the base and green-yellow at the top. The sections at the base are much denser and more asymmetric than the rest of the culm, and the sheaths that cover it for a short time are green with pink and red shades. The leaves are dense, evergreen, light green, 12-15 cm long and 2 cm wide. The shoots are edible, and it is the most widespread and best variety to grow in pots.
