Aronia melanocarpa 'Viking' BushDeciduous, upright shrub with large oval, dark green, leaves with a tomentose underside. The leaves become bright red when the weather becomes cold in autumn before dropping. White flowers, sometimes tinged with pink, appear in spring followed by lots of black berries, persisting on the plant. Exceptionally hardy and very popular in countries with very harsh winters such as Russia, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Undemanding in terms of soil.
