Alnus cordata
Originating from southern Italy and Corsica, where it grows wild, it has a conical crown with horizontal lateral branches. The leaves are dark green, heart-shaped, and fall at the end of November. The flowers appear in February-March and are green-yellow, measuring 5-7 cm. The fruits are oval cone-shaped, first green then turning brown. It also grows in drier soils.
